PHOTOGRAPHER SCOTT KRYCIA WINS HONORABLE MENTION
Monochrome International Photography Awards™
The Monochrome Awards is an annual competition for photographers on a global scale, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today.
Krycia’s moody Black & White photography titled Vik, won Honorable Mention in the Landscape Category. The image is of Reynisdrangar in Iceland, which are basalt sea stacks situated under the mountain Reynisfjall near the village Vík í Mýrdal, southern Iceland which is framed by a black sand beach.
Legend says that the stacks originated when two trolls dragged a three-masted ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.
